Solutionix 3d Scanner Pros & Cons
What are the key advantages of Solutionix 3D Scanner Product Line?
Solutionix C500 3D Scanner
- In its price range, the C500 system offers the cleanest scans of any system I have used. This means very little editing is required to prepare files for export, a big-time saver.
- Fully automatic calibration so you can get to the scanning quicker.
- Four lens choices, so you can configure the system to the most common part volumes, but still have the ability to scan a wide variety of part sizes with one system. System comes with your choice of 1 lens set, additional lenses (3 available) are options.
- Color and texture as a standard feature.
- No target dots required when using the rotary table. For larger scale scans you do need target dots and a tripod, but you can move the part, or the scanner.
- Simple scan alignment and merging in the provided software.
- Ability to scan directly within Geomagic DesignX and ControlX if desired. This saves a lot of transferring/copying of files between different software packages.
Solutionix D700 3D Scanner
- Probably the simplest to operate high resolution and accuracy scanner for small parts.
- Fully integrated rotary table and software incorporated in its own table-top case.
- Programmable scan path for repeatable scans, such as inspections. Very useful for scanning multiple batches of parts that are very similar.
